Originally produced as an audio-visual live electronic performance for Vancouver's New Forms Festival in 2005, Ecocosm was constructed entirely from field recordings captured in the coastal wilderness of British Columbia, Canada, then edited and arranged in Ableton Live. Initially released on New Kanada ten years ago, it's was reissued as a benefit for an organization uniquely poised to provide a last line of defense against the exploitive, damaging, and seemingly insatiable corporate resource extraction threatening Canada’s most fragile ecosystems: RAVEN - Respecting Aboriginal Values & Environmental Needs.
